The Monthly Bake-Along has officially begun! This month, we are starting with a classic: Cookies ‘n cream cupcakes with cookies ‘n cream frosting. This is a semi-homemade dessert, so it won’t take you tons of time, but it will be such a hit with friends and family.

PrintThis recipe is always my most requested and most popular flavor. The base of the cupcake is vanilla cookies ‘n cream and it’s topped with a loaded cookies ‘n cream buttercream.
**If you only want light frosting cut the recipe in half: 2 sticks of butter, 4 cups powdered sugar, 2-3 tbsp heavy cream, 1 tsp vanilla, and 1/3-1/2 c crushed Oreos.

Loved the recipe! Just wish it had been more descriptive on how fine to crush the Oreos, which, for the frosting, needs to be the smallest crumbs possible in order to pipe with way less frustration than I had. Besides that little hiccup, everything else was smooth and easy! I made both regular size cupcakes and minis. Both turned out great and were hits all around!
