Hey! I'm Taryn. Welcome to our blog. I cant wait to help you sprinkle a little fun into your kitchen.
Welcome!
This week was filled with SO MANY Halloween and Fall desserts. I had a lot of sprinkle mixes and ingredients to catch up on, and here’s a sneak peak at a few!
Since I’ve been trying to really theme this month, all of my books are Halloween or spooky stories. I started with this one. Meg Cabot wrote The Princess Diaries, so I thought- I bet this one is going to be good. I was very very wrong. Probably one of the worst books I’ve ever read. It made no sense, none of the characters were all that likeable (or made sense), and the plot was weak with a very strange yet somehow cliche ending. Hard no to this book…but I have high hopes for the next one 😂
The taste test of the week was Fall Festival Candy Corn. The cotton candy flavor won by a long shot. Here’s everyone’s favorites in order:
Cotton Candy
Kettle Corn
Strawberry Funnel Cake
Caramel Apple
Lemonade
Lemon Lime
Finally, we finished out the week with a trip to Leu Gardens for their “Happy Frights Haunting Nights” event. Leu Gardens is a huge botanical garden near us, and I’ve been there a lot during the day, but never for one of their seasonal events. It was so so much better than I thought it would be! They passed out candy, had a ton of lights and decorations, costumed performers, and even a magician. I’d most definitely do it again.
That’s all for now, hope everyone has a great week!
