Another week of fun, food tasting, and FINALLY getting organized. I’ve been using the ClickUp app/program, and it’s life-changing. I started a lot of new things, like my “Plan my Party Menu” found here. All of this week’s recipes are in the Blog section OR sign up for my emails and I’ll link to recipes that won’t be posted on social media.
My week started off with staying up wayyyy too late finishing this book- “It Ends with Us.” I heard so much about it which usually makes me nervous. Sometimes things are just over-hyped. I’ve gotta say I really loved this book though. I get the popularity and immediately bought the follow up book.
I’ve been gardening a lot this year, and it’s given me the chance to add in really pretty colorful touches to my yard like these hot pink flowers. I want to see how tall they grow first, then I’ll add some more.
Back at Peloton, and I’ve done TONS of new classes this week. I think I am hooked because I found two instructors that I love watching- Hannah and Bradley. They both have amazing energy. This was Hannah’s Disney Villains class.
This recipe will be up in the next day or two. I am super excited to share it because I literally took a bite and said- why is this so good? I knew it would be good, but it was SO GOOD.
Back during Covid quarantine, we started doing “drawing contests.” We were so bored we would do them daily lol. Now it’s about once a month, and this month’s was Isabella from Encanto.
Every Wednesday, we go to Disney after school. This week’s trip was to the Old Key West Resort. It’s a time share hotel, and they have a really nice pool and fabulous restaurant.
My daughter told me to pose like this because I’d look cool. I do not, I believe that ship has sailed.
Their playground was super cute, and it was a gorgeous day.
We both tried to do the monkey bars and both failed.
At the restaurant, we started off with the pineapple coconut bread. She was only a fan with gobs of butter, but I liked it. Her main dish was buttered noodles, brown rice, and fries. I had citrus salmon, squash, broccolini, and potatoes. Blah blah nothing really matters except for the dessert. She got an ice cream sundae, but I got this glorious treat- Bananas Foster. It’s a crummy pic but it’s caramelized banana bread topped with caramel sauce, ice cream, bananas, blueberries, and strawberries. SO DELICIOUS.
During the week, I eat pretty much the same thing and really only get fun treats on special days out. Makes it more special to me. I usually eat a medley like the picture below- a ton of veggies, meat (chicken, sausage, fish, etc) and then for dessert berries and Truwhip.
At night we play board games, and we shared Boom Chicka Pop and had mini Blue Bell Sundaes. They’re the perfect portion size. This week’s new game was Taboo. It’s one of my long time favorites, but new to my daughter. It was a HIT.
Hope everyone has a great week!! I’d love to hear what you have planned 🙂
