Life & Sprinkles Weekly Recap

It was summer vacation time for us this week! We took a road trip from Orlando to Bryson City, NC. On the way there we only made a few stops. We went to the Musgrove Mill Park and walked a mini trail there. Other than that, we headed straight for the cabin.

Our trip was specifically to Deep Creek, and those are the photos below. It was so quiet and secluded. Wading in the water was chilly, but so so fun.

Next day, we hit up Sliding Rock during the day and walked around Cherokee. At night, we had dinner at the Nantahala Outdoor Center. They had a cute restaurant there overlooking the water. We even headed back the next day for kayaking and the zip line.

On the last night, we stopped by the local sweet shops (of course). We got chocolate Oreo ice cream and then a Boston Cream Cupcake.

All of these flavors looked so delicious, I definitely want to recreate some. The Boston Cream had a vanilla cake base, ganache topping, and pastry cream filling. It was SENSATIONAL!

On the way home, we stopped by Stone Mountain Georgia. I hadn’t been here in years, and I was shocked at how much they’ve developed it. There was a little town, train, activities, trails…I wish we had more time!

To finish off this post, the highlight of the trip (kidding, maybe) was stopping by Fazolis. We don’t have these as close to us anymore, and I am obsessed with their breadsticks!
