Hey! I'm Taryn. Welcome to our blog. I cant wait to help you sprinkle a little fun into your kitchen.
Welcome!
Anyone that knows me, knows I love a good theme. Even with my workouts! I’m not a personal trainer or anything of the sort, I just love to bring a little fun into exercise. I made a checklist of what I do personally with cute Spring names. I love doing this outdoors while listening to a spring playlist on Spotify. I attached the check list and then a breakdown/link of what each exercise is.
In the Grass Pushups- you don’t have to do these in the grass, but it’s a fun way to get outside and exercise! These are basically knee pushups and here is a link if you haven’t done them before, use this link for instructions!
Lady Bugs- these are a play on the “dead bugs exercise.” Such a sad name for an exercise, so I flipped it to be a Spring version called Lady Bugs. Here’s a good breakdown of the exercise: link.
Reach for the Clouds- this is an alternate dumbbell press. Be sure to use weights that are comfortable for you. It’s another great exercise to do outside on a pretty day. I like this video and instructions.
Sunny Day Leg Lifts- these are single leg hip raises, and I suggest doing them while playing the song “Walking on Sunshine” 😉 Here’s a good site if you aren’t familiar.
Tip-Toeing in the Sun- if you have a resistance loop band, you’re most likely familiar with these! It’s a lateral band walking exercise- article here and if you don’t have bands, there’s other options!
Reverse picnic flies- yep, it’s reverse flies, but with a band! Visual aid here. And if you don’t have a band here’s a dumbbell version.
Lemonade Twist- the last exercise is a “lemonade twist” which is a russian twist. Here is a good post about them. I highly recommend finishing these sets off with an actual lemonade!
That’s a little breakdown of what I do, but feel free to customize it to what you like or what works for your body. Enjoy!
