Hey! I'm Taryn. Welcome to my blog. I cant wait to help you sprinkle a little fun into your kitchen with Semi-Homemade desserts, meals, and snacks!
Easy Cookie Bars
I LOVE going to the mall and getting a classic cookie bar- the kind that’s loaded with sweet, creamy frosting and rainbow sprinkles. This recipe is a semi-homemade version of those! If you don’t like chocolate chip cookies, you can always sub sugar cookies and feel free to add any topping that you want. These are perfect for parties, kids events, or a fun after dinner treat.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line an 8″ square pan with parchment paper.
Spread softened cookie dough in a layer at the bottom of the pan. You’ll have to press to get the cookies to come together. Be sure to make the center slightly higher than the edges since they’ll rise the most.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely.
In a mixing bowl, beat the butter until smooth. Add in the powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
Remove the cookies from the pan by lifting them out holding the edges of the parchment sheet.
Spread the frosting onto the cooled cookies and top with rainbow sprinkles. Serve or refrigerate for more of a “bar-style” dessert.
