Hey! I'm Taryn. Welcome to our blog. I cant wait to help you sprinkle a little fun into your kitchen.
Welcome!
Would I recommend? If you’re new to the world of habits, yes. If you have read anything on this subject before, no you will most likely be bored.
I was really excited to read this book and learn about the concept of Microsteps. But in short, it’s a fancy name for a subject that’s being widely talked about- take small steps instead of charging at a daunting goal.
These are the chapters in the book:
Sleep
Unplugging and Recharging
Nutrition and Hydration
Movement
Focus and Prioritzation
Communication and Relationships
Creativity and Inspiration
Purpose and Meaning
I love all of those categories, and definitely love reading more about each of them in general. My issue with this book is that it has a lot of celebrity quotes throughout which I didn’t feel really helped. They were very generic and cliche. And each section was really common sense and again, filled with material that’s not new. In fact, a lot of the info has become old Pinterest memes and wall signs.
The book can really be summed up with- anything you approach, do it with small steps instead of huge life changing steps. That’s the long and short of it.
If you’ve never read anything like this before, it would be entertaining because it’s a very helpful concept. But if it’s not new to you, then skip this book and try something a bit deeper.
