Hey! I'm Taryn. Welcome to our blog. I cant wait to help you sprinkle a little fun into your kitchen.
Welcome!
I’ve been traveling to Gatlinburg and visiting Dollywood since I was a kid, but I have to say it’s FAR better now. They have so many themed festivals, and this was my first time going to their Fall Harvest event. We got two tasting passes and literally loved everything.
Alright…so let’s start with my favorite thing that I ate at this festival. Pumpkin Pie Funnel Cake. Ironically they forgot the powdered sugar but it made me love it even more. The whipped cream was a sweet vanilla flavor so the sugar probably would have been too much. The funnel cake was fried right in front of us so it didn’t get soggy, and how cute were the mini royal icing pumpkins?
When I say we tried a lot, we tried almost everything below! The potato tornadoes were so good (I had the maple), but for savory food the pulled pork mac n cheese was 10/10. Surprisingly I also loved the Pumpkin Apple Cider Punch. It had such a perfect Fall taste but it wasn’t very sweet or overpowering.
My favorite thing about TN is the candy and bakeries. They go all out…everything is themed and decadent and all delicious. Nothing tastes fake or artificial. My #1 pick from the shots below is the Fall cannoli. It was perfectly made and the Fall leaf sprinkles were super cute.
Lastly, if you have a chance, check out their night time light displays. I live in Orlando, so I am regularly at the theme parks but I can say without a doubt…there’s no park that’s decorated better than Dollywood.
And of course their merch was spot on. A perfect mix of spooky and autumn themed. I have more Tennessee treat reviews and pics coming soon. PLUS an unexpected foodie trip. Hope you have a great week!
