It was a rainy day here in Orlando, but we made a special trip to Universal Studios to see the newest parade. I can’t remember ever seeing a parade at Universal, other than Mardi Gras. This one was FANTASTIC, and it had so many of my favorite movies. (And yes we got rained on right after this was over lol!)
The first float was Back to the Future and this is my favorite movie of all time. I loved all of the little details and Doc and Marty looked so good. My daughter watched this movie recently, and now she’s just as big of a fan as I am.
Next up was the Sing Float! It had all of the best characters like Gunter, Rosita, and Johnny. Not to mention Miss Crawly on the back who is my personal favorite in the movie.
Despicable Me is my favorite cartoon-style movie. People have told me it’s not called a cartoon, but I am not sure of the terminology 😂 We saw the new movie, and I loved it just as much as the others. Mind you, I am a HUGE Disney fan, but I secretly prefer the Universal movies more (shhhh).
We didn’t get a ton of shots of Kung Fu Panda, but he is in a new show there! They opened a Dreamworks section and a lot of the float characters can be seen in the show.
Of course they had a Trolls float 😍 and it was SUPER bright and colorful. I have loved all of these movies, especially the one with BroZone (I am a 90’s girl).
Fun fact, I’ve never seen the original Ghostbusters BUT I am a fan of the song and the aesthetic for Halloween, HA! I am going to put it on my to do list. I actually do remember when they used to have the Ghostbusters show at Universal with a giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Both he and his little mini marshmallow guys were on the float.
There are so many “retired” rides at Universal that I miss. King Kong, Earthquake and most definitely, Jaws. I remember the ride perfectly and how terrifying it was when I was little seeing the shark attack our boat. At least we have a float now!
(PS- My most missed attraction is the Murder She Wrote show).
The final float is another one of my all-time favorite movies…Jurassic Park. This one was a bit Jurassic World themed too. I actually really liked the first Jurassic World. The next two got a bit confusing for me and far fetched. The T-Rex on this float was done really really well though. Wish they were actually in the Jurassic Park section of Islands of Adventure.
So the parade was 10/10 for me, I loved it! Next, up I want to catch the new night show!
