My daughter came up with this pie idea all by herself! She grabbed the ingredients and asked me to make a recipe, so viola! It’s the perfect balance of sweet and salty with a creamy chocolate filling and pretzel pie crust. Top it off with fluffy whipped cream, crushed chocolate-covered pretzels, and chocolate caramel squares. This one was a huge hit, and I am so so proud of her for coming up with it!
Chocolate-covered pretzels, any brand- coarsely crushed
Chocolate caramel squares, any brand- whole or chopped into larger pieces. The caramel filling will come out slightly onto the pie if they are chopped up.
Additional whipped topping if desired!
Instructions
Remove the packaging from the pie crust. *Optional, spread 1/4 of the salted chocolate spread at the bottom of the crust. Be very careful because it crumbles easily. If you don’t want to chance it, use all of the spread in the filling.
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and 3/4 of the container of chocolate spread until smooth (or all if you aren’t using any in step 1.)
Fold in whipped topping and add it to the pie crust. Spread the top with a spatula so that it’s smooth.
Refrigerate 4 hours until firm.
Remove the pie from the fridge. Add additional whipped topping if desired. Top with crushed chocolate-covered pretzels and caramel squares. Serve immediately.
Sounds so yummy I’m going to print this out and make it for Christmas time 🙂
Yay, that makes me so happy!
