Summer break is finally here, and that means pool days, road trips, sleepovers, and so many snacks. It’s also the perfect time to change up the usual routine and see what you can add to the lineup. This summer’s newest snack haul is packed with fun flavors, nostalgic characters, and healthier options. We’ve got Minecraft-inspired gummies, Disney-themed puffs, and new guacamole cups flavors. Get ready to scout out your new summer favorite!

I can assure you, salty snack lovers will want to stock up on Popchips this summer. The brand recently relaunched its entire lineup using 100% avocado oil. Fun fact, they use heat and pressure instead of deep frying.
I tried four flavors, and loved every single one. The Sea Salt was a great classic chip with the perfect crunch. It wasn’t overly salty and had that can’t-stop-reaching-into-the-bag quality. The BBQ flavor had a nice smoky flavor that leaned more savory and balanced. My favorite of the bunch was Sour Cream & Onion. It had just the right amount of seasoning and none of us wanted to share. Salt & Vinegar was another surprise favorite. It had plenty of flavor without the intense vinegar punch that some versions can have.
Overall, these were fantastic. We all kept going back for more, and I can easily see kids becoming huge fans this summer.

Fan Foods Co. and Poppowls are bringing some of the most fun names in the kid-world directly into the snack aisle. The new lineup includes Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars themed snacks with characters like Stitch, Darth Vader, Grogu, Spider-Man, Disney Princesses, and the Avengers. The products are rolling out nationwide through Walmart and Target throughout 2026.
I had the chance to try the Frozen Veggie Puffs and the Spidey and His Amazing Friends Strawberry Apple snack.

The Frozen Veggie Puffs were an instant hit. They had a light, crispy crunch and a cheddar cheese flavor that wasn’t overly salty. The cheesy coating felt balanced and kid-friendly, making them easy to snack on by the handful.
The Spidey Strawberry Apple variety was completely different. The fruit flavor was subtle and lightly sweet. Since the flavor comes from a coating rather than a heavy seasoning, it doesn’t linger too long, which makes it especially appealing for the little snackers.
These are exactly the kinds of products kids get excited to find in a snack bag or pull out during movie night.

One of the biggest surprises for me this summer was discovering just how many varieties of WHOLLY Minis exist. I am a huge guacamole fan and got way too excited about this.

The Tomato & Basil Minis was one of my favorites. The basil adds something different without taking away from the avocado with a fresh and really unique flavor.
The Roasted Red Bell Pepper & Spinach Minis were another standout. I actually finished those first. The roasted red pepper flavor comes through right away, adding a savory twist that makes this guacamole feel a little different from the usual options.
Of course, the Classic Minis ended up getting used on just about everything. They’re versatile, creamy, and work with nearly any meal or snack.

The Restaurant Style Minis bring a little heat thanks to jalapeño peppers, while the Spicy Minis offer an extra kick for those who enjoy bolder flavors. If you like a little extra punch to your guac, definitely try these.
The Chunky Minis deliver larger pieces of avocado and tomato, while the Smashed Avocado Minis are perfect for quick avocado toast.

My daughter became a surprisingly huge fan of these. She paired them with pita chips, vegetables, and sandwiches throughout the week. The Smashed Avocado version quickly became her favorite for avocado toast.
Surprisingly, every flavor was good. I would happily buy every single one again.

Minecraft fans are going to have a lot of fun with these. The officially licensed Minecraft Gummies from Happy Yummies transform snack time into a guessing game with cube-shaped gummies inspired by the Minecraft universe.
Each bag comes with mystery flavors with names inspired by the game, like Creeper Apple Pop, Ender Dragon Cherry, and Honeycomb Mango Buzz. Some are sour, some aren’t, and every bag offers a different mix.
The surprise factor was the most fun part about eating these. They reminded me of those mini brands surprise balls, where you never know what you’re going to get. Not only are kids trying to guess the flavors, but some bags might also have hidden surprises, including a spicy gummy challenge. We actually found the spicy one, and it definitely lived up to its claim…so hot!
Beyond the fun, the gummies themselves were genuinely delicious. The fruit flavors tasted bright and flavorful, and the texture was excellent. They had a soft chew that was easy to eat and a sugar coating that wasn’t as intense as many traditional sour candies. For Minecraft fans, these are an easy win.

Two familiar brands teamed up for one of the most fun launches I’ve seen. Mother’s Cookies and NERDS Candy recently introduced Mother’s x NERDS Sweet & Tangy Frosted Cookies, available exclusively at Walmart.
The cookies start with the classic Mother’s shortbread circus animal shapes that are one of my favorites. I bake with them a lot, and they really make everything taste better. They’re then covered with the classic bright frosting and topped with Rainbow NERDS candies.
The result is a cookie that amazing Mother’s cookie with a bonus crunchy texture. The candy adds little pops of crunch throughout every bite. They’re colorful, fun, and a perfect addition to summer snack time.
The best summer snacks have got to bring a little fun to the table. From what I’ve tested so far, this year’s summer snack lineup offers a little bit of everything. If you’re ready to go on a summer break foodie hunt, these are some of the most exciting new products to add to your shopping list.
