Hey! I'm Taryn. Welcome to our blog. I cant wait to sprinkle a little fun into your kitchen with you!
Welcome!
This post is dedicated to one of my absolute favorite baking hacks:precut parchment paper. It sounds like such a small thing, but once you start using it, it’s hard to go back to cutting parchment off a roll.
I also bake with 8- and 9-inch square pans all the time, and precut parchment sheets make getting brownies, bars, cakes, and other desserts out of the pan so much simpler. You don’t have to fight with anything sticking to the bottom, and cleanup is usually much quicker too.
I use 13 x 9-inch parchment sheets constantly. They’re great for cookie sheets, obviously for cookies, but I also use them pretty much anytime I’m putting something on a sheet pan and into the oven. They save time, help prevent sticking, and make cleanup so much easier.
Another one worth trying is parchment muffin liners. They peel away from muffins really easily without taking half the muffin with them. I also love using them for other sticky-ish baked treats, especially brownie cups.
And if you bake layer cakes, precut parchment rounds are the absolute best. They fit right into the bottom of your cake pans, so there’s no tracing circles onto parchment paper and then cutting them out one by one. Just grab the size you need, place it in the pan, and you’re ready to bake. They come in tons of sizes, so it’s easy to keep a few options on hand.
I only started buying precut parchment regularly within the last few years, and now I always keep it stocked. It’s inexpensive, convenient, and one of those little baking shortcuts that actually makes a difference. If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend it. You’ll probably understand pretty quickly why it has become one of my favorite baking hacks.
