Ingredients

• 1 box of pound cake mix + the ingredients listed on the box
• 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1/2 cup milk chocolate chunks 
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 1/2 cup semisweet or milk chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to the temperature specified on the box. Grease and flour a loaf pan and/or line with parchment paper so that it is easy to remove. 
2. Make the pound cake according to the package instructions. 
3. In a small bowl, heat the peanut butter in the microwave until it’s smooth so that it’s easier to mix. Start with 15 seconds and then add 15 more if it isn’t enough. Fold it into the batter. 
4. Stir in the milk chocolate chunks and pour the batter into the prepared pan. 
5. Bake according to the package instructions or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted. 
6. Meanwhile, heat the heavy cream in the microwave for one minute. Add the chocolate chips to the bowl and let it sit for 30 seconds. Whisk until smooth. 
7. Once the cake is done, let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes and then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. After it has cooled, drizzle the chocolate topping and serve.
8. Prefer it warm? Let it cool enough to slice it and then serve each slice with the glaze.

The addition of milk chocolate chunks throughout the batter creates pockets of melted chocolate in every bite, and if you prefer semi-sweet or dark chocolate just sub it out! This is the perfect size loaf pan you need to make this pound cake.

While the cake is baking, you can prepare that rich chocolate drizzle. All you need is heavy cream and chocolate chips. Again, choose your chocolate chips of choice but definitely give it a try. The chocolate ganache totally sets it over the top!

My daughter was a fan of this too, so this is a pound cake for all ages. Extra bonus, have it any time of the day too- breakfast, a snack, dessert…dare I say even add a few scoops of chocolate ice cream for a weekend movie watching treat.
