Double Berry Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter, softened
  • 1 (8-ounce) block cream cheese, softened
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons strawberry extract
  • 5 tablespoons freeze-dried raspberry powder
  • Tiny pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese together until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the powdered sugar gradually, mixing on low speed at first so it does not fly everywhere. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  3. Mix in the strawberry extract, freeze-dried raspberry powder, and pinch of salt.
  4. Beat the frosting for another 1 to 2 minutes until light, fluffy, and fully combined.
  5. If the frosting feels too thick, add 1 to 2 teaspoons of milk or heavy cream. If it feels too soft, add a little extra powdered sugar.
