Hey! I'm Taryn. Welcome to our blog. I cant wait to help you sprinkle a little fun into your kitchen.
Welcome!
“In Five Years” by Rebecca Sterle is a story about a lawyer named Dannie who gets a glimpse into her life for 1 hour exactly five years in the future. She’s recently engaged, but in her “vision” she’s with a different man and her life seems so unlike her. The rest of the book is about that journey in those five years.
I wanted to like this book SO BAD. The plot sounded amazing, but it wasn’t at all what I expected. I felt like the main character had two sides of her personality that didn’t quite mesh. It made it very difficult to be attached to her. I also had a really hard time with her relationship to the man from her vision. Actually the entire vision plot in itself could have been interesting, but seemed too mystical for the storyline. Overall, it was definitely a quick read, but I was disappointed with it almost the whole way through.
In other news, I decided to start a Facebook group where we can share cookbooks that we love, book recommendations, and perhaps a book of the month. It’ll be a small private group, so click the link below to be included! LINK FOR BOOK CLUB!
