Bakr Cookie Review

I found BAKR Cookies at Target completely by accident, and honestly, hunting for limited edition snacks is an actual hobby of mine.

Last holiday season, I picked up their Countdown to Christmas calendar and got to try a ton of flavors that way. It turned into such a fun little treat because every day felt like trying a new surprise cookie. After that, I became fully invested in this brand, so when I spotted their cookies back at Target recently, I was way too excited.

Right now, the flavors you can grab are Brown Butter Chocolate Chunk, S’mores, Fudge Brownie, and Mini Birthday Cake, and I genuinely recommend all four.

Before we get into the flavors, I love the background of BAKR Cookies. The company was created to make bakery-style cookies feel more accessible at home. Everything comes pre-portioned and frozen, so you can bake fresh cookies whenever you want without measuring ingredients, making a huge mess, or committing to an entire batch at once.

And one thing I think is really smart is that you can make these in either the oven or the air fryer. Considering how many people are obsessed with their air fryers right now, this feels like such a fun option if you only want a couple cookies at a time.

Now for the important part: every single flavor is actually delicious.

And I don’t say that lightly because usually there’s at least one flavor in a lineup that I feel “meh” about. Each cookie tastes like the best version of what it’s supposed to be.

The Brown Butter Chocolate Chunk tastes rich and buttery with that classic bakery-style texture.

The S’mores flavor has that gooey chocolate-marshmallow combo, and it’s my favorite of the bunch.

The Fudge Brownie is perfect if you love extra chocolate and want something super rich.

The Mini Birthday Cake is fun, sweet, and loaded with classic birthday cake flavor.

They’re great on their own, but I also started thinking about fun ways to give them a dessert “makeover.”

One idea is using them for ice cream cookie sandwiches.

Here are a few combos I’d absolutely try:

Brown Butter Chocolate Chunk + chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream

Fudge Brownie + cookies and cream ice cream

S’mores + triple chocolate ice cream

Mini Birthday Cake + strawberry ice cream

You could also turn them into frosting-filled cookie sandwiches, which I absolutely love. A vanilla bean buttercream would pair perfectly with every single one of these flavors, so if you want to try that version, I’ve added my recipe because it works so well here.

They’re fun, convenient, and actually taste incredible. If you happen to spot BAKR Cookies at Target, definitely grab a box…or four. You’ll understand very quickly why I was so excited to see them back.
