When you visit Orlando, the focus is most often the theme parks. I love theme parks, but there is so much more here that doesn’t get enough attention. Harry P. Leu Gardens is a beautiful 50-acre botanical garden near downtown Orlando, and they’ve got everything from scenic walking paths and seasonal flowers to concerts, special events, and holiday celebrations.
I recently went to the Fall Jazz & Blues Concert at Leu Gardens, and it was absolutely spectacular. Between the live music, gorgeous gardens cool evening weather, and a picnic under the stars, this was easily one of the best outdoor events I’ve attended in Central Florida.
Plus, the Gardens have several super fun events coming up, including Fall activities, creative workshops, and incredible holiday light displays.

The Fall Jazz & Blues Concert took place on October 17, 2026, bringing musical acts to three different locations throughout the Gardens. The event really encouraged guests to experience a variety of live performances.
The evening featured the Dave Capp Project, Backtrack Blues Band, and Zazz Sings! There was a wide range of music from smooth jazz to energetic blues and rock influences.
We arrived after dark, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The weather was cool, the Gardens looked beautiful, and there was a great crowd without the event feeling overcrowded. Guests were encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets, food, and drinks, making it an excellent opportunity for an outdoor picnic.
We packed a basket filled with cheese, meats, fruit, and sodas, which turned out to be perfect. We were able to sit outdoors, enjoy our food, and listen to talented musicians.

What really made this concert fun was the way the performances were spread throughout the property. Guests could walk through the Gardens to visit each of the three musical acts.
Exploring the gardens at night was such a great experience, with beautiful landscaping and so many interesting things to see along the way. It added an entirely different element to what would already have been an excellent concert.

There were also food and beverage vendors on-site, including The Gnarly Cuban, Foxtail Coffee, Little Jenny Bakes, and The Courtesy Bar, which offered cocktails, wine, and beer. I also picked up some Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream, which is a big-time local favorite.
Overall, I can’t recommend this concert enough. The combination of music, food, atmosphere, and beautiful surroundings made it an incredible experience. For anyone who enjoys jazz and blues, this is absolutely an event to keep an eye out for when it returns.

The autumn celebrations continued with Fall into the Gardens, which ran through November 2, 2026.
There were so many displays featuring colorful marigolds and seasonal flowers throughout the property. It’s a beautiful opportunity to enjoy the changing season, especially for anyone who loves gardening, photography, or spending time outdoors.
And we can’t forget the Garden Chicken Hunt, which challenged visitors to find a collection of funny chickens hidden throughout the Gardens. Some are tall, some are short, and each adds nothing but fun.
The activity was included with regular garden admission, making it a fun fall outing for families with younger children. Bookmark this one for next year!

One of the biggest upcoming attractions is the annual Dazzling Nights, returning November 20, 2026, through January 3, 2027.
This nighttime holiday experience transforms the botanical gardens with illuminated displays, twinkling lights, holiday music, and even falling snow. Guests can stroll through the displays while enjoying seasonal food, drinks, and treats. It’s a completely different way to experience Leu Gardens, with the beautiful outdoor setting providing the backdrop for a holiday celebration.
Tickets are sold separately from regular garden admission, with adult admission ranging from $35 to $56 and children’s tickets ranging from $33 to $53, including fees but before tax.
For those who prefer visiting during the day, Holidays at Leu Gardens will also feature thousands of poinsettias, seasonal floral displays, and handcrafted garden decorations from November 20 through January 3.
Families can search for eight hidden yetis throughout the property or attend Holiday Craft Day on December 5, featuring snowman ornaments, snowball slime, and miniature wreath decorating.
Beyond the seasonal events, Leu Gardens offers a variety of activities throughout the year.
Upcoming workshops include floral arranging, watercolor painting, vegetable gardening, and holiday wreath making. There’s also Lakeside Yoga which gives guests an opportunity to enjoy a relaxing session overlooking Lake Rowena.
Visitors looking for an affordable day out can take advantage of the Gardens’ upcoming free admission day on December 7, 2026.
These are great opportunities to explore the property, discover its different garden collections, and experience one of Orlando’s beautiful outdoor attractions without purchasing a regular admission ticket.

After we went to the Fall Jazz & Blues Concert, I have an entirely new appreciation for Leu Gardens special events. I already knew the property was beautiful, but experiencing it at night with live music made it even more impressive. With holiday displays, seasonal activities, and creative workshops on the calendar, there are so many reasons to plan a visit over the next few months.
