This week was such a blast! I absolutely love summer, it’s my favorite season. Everything just feels so carefree. There’s no rush to get anywhere or do anything. We sleep in and stay up extra late watching movies. And we always have a special 4th of July at my house. The picture below is of my daughter, mom, and grandma. My grandma is 100 and she is still the life of the party. She especially loved the fireworks.
We also had a special visitor all week. Hayley ditched camp, so her cousin Brayden spent all week with us. They had so much fun playing video games, making forts, swimming, and taste testing my recipes 😉 One afternoon, we decided to take a spontaneous Disney trip. We went to Typhoon Lagoon first.
We snacked on their mini sugar-covered donuts, and a frozen blue boba drink. The drink was really intensely sweet lol, but definitely fun for kids. I know people love these little donuts, but I’m not the biggest fan. I don’t like the coarse sugar, I wish it was powdered. Still tasty, just not my favorite.
After Typhoon Lagoon, we went to Hollywood Studios. We ate a quick dinner (ahem foot long hot dog) and then went on Tower of Terror and did a little shopping!
Ended the week with a trip to Target for some last minute things we needed for the week. I love how the Starbucks there is always updating the menu with creations from the employees. We tried the Ashley/Honey Nut Cheerio Latte and it was spot on!
PS- I made soooo many desserts this week, but I think this is my favorite! I am posting it Monday for the Eras Sprinkle release. They are- Speak Now Gooey Cake Bars. Vanilla blackberry cake bars with a white chocolate buttercream. These bars are so delicious and sooo gooey. Always a hit and even better with a Taylor Swift theme!
