You know I’m always down to try a new pancake or waffle mix—especially when the flavors sound like dessert. (and they’re limited edition). I picked up two mixes from Walmart that caught my eye: Carrot Cake and Strawberries & Cream. Here’s the full scoop (or should I say stack?).
This one had a very strong flavor. It’s got that classic carrot cake spice—cinnamon, nutmeg, maybe even a little clove—but it leans heavy. Definitely more of a “brunch with grownups” flavor than something kids would be into.
I made them into waffles and they were nice and fluffy, but the taste was just a little too bold for me. Think more spice cake than breakfast treat.

Would I buy again? Maybe for a fall-themed brunch board, but not my go-to.
LOVED this one. The strawberry flavor is soft and mellow, not fake or overpowering. Just enough to make the pancakes feel special without being over the top.
Perfect for kids and a springtime breakfast in general. Add a little whipped cream or drizzle of syrup and you’re set.

Would I buy again? Absolutely!
If you’re picking between the two, go with Strawberries & Cream for a fun, light flavor that everyone will love. Carrot Cake has its moment for Easter, but it’s a bit strong if you’re not in the mood for spice.
Let me know if you try either—especially if you dress them up with toppings. You know I live for a good breakfast remix.
