It has been a very eventful and FUN month! I didn’t even realize how much until I started typing this up. Let’s start with our little trip to St. Augustine. We actually stayed in an Airbnb on a horse farm. It was so peaceful and the horses were adorable and very friendly.
While we were there we visited an Alligator Farm. I legit never knew there were so many kinds of alligators. I do think this was one of the nicest “zoos” I’ve been to in Florida though. It was kept up really well and there were huge spaces for the animals. Not like the alligators moved much, but they seemed quite relaxed. We tried a few restaurants on the beach and took a trip to the St. Augustine Lighthouse. This was far and away one of my favorite trips in a while.
Hayley got some Valentine’s Day pictures taken and she is 150% more photogenic than me. I have no idea where she gets this skill from b/c I most certainly don’t have it.
On to the theme parks…if you haven’t seen our newest account it’s Life and Theme Parks on all channels. We have been to so many recently and we’re having the absolute best time. These pictures are from Animal Kingdom and when we went it was pretty empty.
We have been spending a lot of time in the new Minions land in Universal Studios. We were the only ones in this restaurant which was nice! I got a salad and did not love it UNTIL they brought the plantain chip toppers. Then it was probably one of the best salads I’d ever had. The purple drink was better than I anticipated…I had very low expectations lol. That dog cream puff was not good. Not puffy or sweet or creamy. Like a cold and chewy dessert that had an aftertaste of chocolate.
Fun fact, my favorite soda is Pibb Zero. I will go completely out of my way in any theme park to get it.
Anyways, the Bake my Day Sweet Shop is decorated so so cute, but the macarons and other sweets that I have tried there were not good at all. The merch and decorations in pink are adorable though.
We’ve been doing a lot of fun food reviews and for this particular one, we took the monthly Stitch Attacks Snacks with us. This one was the pretzel Stitch. We ate at the Grand Floridian and it was pretty good. Nowhere near as good as the Kona Cafe in the Polynesian Hotel. That place is 10/10.
Lastly, we went to Sea World to celebrate Elmo’s birthday and Universal Studios Mardi Gras to catch some beads!
What did we do for Valentine’s Day you ask? Me, my mom, and my daughter went to a special McDonald’s Valentine’s Day event. Let me tell you it was adorable and fun. They gave us free chocolate, table service, and roses. My daughter had the best time ever.
Recipe of the month has gotta be these garlic butter pretzels. I could not stop eating them. If you like salty snacks, give this one a try.
It was my grandma’s 101st birthday and we went to Chef Mickey’s! They treated her so well, and the food was absolutely incredible. (Look how cute she is at 101!)
Finishing out the month with Hayley’s Young Author’s Brunch and a 90’s throwback outfit. She’s also rehearsing for quite a few plays and her reward was cotton candy at a new shop in the food court. It had strawberry cotton candy on the inside and lemon on the outside.
Hope everyone had a fun February! Super excited for March and Spring break coming up….
