Ingredients

  • 12 shots of espresso or ½ cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

 

Toppings (optional but highly recommended):

  • Whipped cream, cinnamon sugar, crushed cinnamon cookies or snickerdoodles

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. Warm over medium heat until steaming, but not boiling.
  2. Froth the milk mixture using a milk frother, whisk, or by blending briefly until light and foamy.
  3. Pour the espresso or coffee into a mug, then top with the spiced, frothy milk.
  4. Finish with a swirl of whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar, and a handful of crushed cinnamon cookies or snickerdoodles.
