Cocoa Candy Cane Krispies Treats

  • 6 cups Cocoa Krispies cereal
  • 1 (10 oz) bag mini marshmallows
  • ¼ cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1 stick (½ cup) salted butter
  • ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
  • ½ cup crushed candy canes or peppermint candies
  • Crushed peppermint or holiday sprinkles (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Lightly spray an 8″ square pan with nonstick cooking spray and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large pot over medium-low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the marshmallows and stir until smooth and glossy.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the peppermint extract and marshmallow fluff until fully combined.
  4. Add Cocoa Krispies and fold gently until evenly coated. Stir in crushed candy canes.
  5. Spread the mixture into the prepared pan and press down gently with parchment paper or a buttered spatula.
  6. Sprinkle with crushed peppermint or festive sprinkles.
  7. Let cool completely (about 45 minutes) before cutting into thick squares.
