Lemon Oreo Cream Cheese Frosting

Nothing says it’s springtime like the bright yellow color of lemons! That’s why this Lemon Oreo Cream Cheese Frosting is a great way to transition your tastebuds into a sweet, springtime cuisine.
This classic cream cheese frosting recipe is a bit on the sweeter side which pairs really nicely with a basic lemon or vanilla cake. I also love the mixture of the cookie crunch mixed in. It gives it a really unique twist.
If you’re not a big lemon fan, that’s totally okay. You can swap this flavor cookie out for the double chocolate, mint chocolate, or the original Oreo cookie flavor. Have fun with it and make it your own!

Lemon Oreo Cream Cheese Frosting
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 c butter, softened
- 1 box (3 1/2 c) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 c crushed Oreos
Instructions
- Beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add in the powdered sugar and vanilla and mix. Add in the Oreos and mix until fully combined.
- I added this frosting to yellow cupcakes, but it would also be wonderful piped onto lemon cookies or even a lemon-vanilla layer cake!
