Hey! I'm Taryn. Welcome to our blog. I cant wait to help you sprinkle a little fun into your kitchen.
As warm weather rolls in, it’s the perfect time to fire up the grill and enjoy fresh, tasty meals like this Lemon Garlic Grilled Chicken. This recipe is featured on the cover of my new Balanced Bites eCookbook series, Mediterranean Meals in Minutes, where each mini cookbook features six handpicked recipes—plus, this one’s a bonus! They’re all part of my brand new eBook library. With new pop-up eCookbooks dropping every month, there’s always something delicious to discover. Want in? Trust me, this chicken is packed with bright, zesty flavors that scream spring and summer. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and easy to make, it’s bound to become your go-to for grilling season!
Confession time: I used to be a lemon-in-desserts-only kind of person. But lately, I’ve been loving lemon in savory dishes—especially grilled chicken and shrimp. And this year, as the weather starts warming up, I’m craving it even more.
I played around with different flavors, tweaking the balance of zest, garlic, and seasoning, and I am officially hooked. I ate this grilled lemon chicken over salads until every. single. bite. was. gone.
Since I don’t usually fire up the outdoor grill just for myself, I tested it on my indoor grill instead, and let me tell you—it was just as good! (P.S. This is the indoor grill I love → https://amzn.to/3FwKr0e).
For a full grill night spread, we went all out with- lemon grilled chicken, fresh fish, juicy burgers, veggies, and brown fried rice. We have a flat top grill and regular bbq grill so we threw everything on at once, and it was such a treat—simple, fresh, and packed with flavor.
I loved this recipe so much that I put it on the cover of my newest Balanced Bites eCookbook! You can find this book and more in my eBook Library! The Balance Bites Series is all about lighter, flavorful meals, and each one is “bite-size” with six curated recipes—so I can create tons of fun, themed cookbooks every month.
Next up in the series is a light & spicy edition—and I cannot wait for you to see what’s inside!

1. Can I cook this chicken without a grill?
Yes! You can pan-sear it on medium heat for about 5-6 minutes per side or bake it at 400°F for 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
2. How long should I marinate the chicken?
For the best flavor, marinate for at least 30 minutes, but if you have time, overnight will bring out the taste even more!
3. Can I use chicken thighs instead of breasts?
Absolutely! Boneless, skinless chicken thighs work great—just adjust the cooking time as they may take a few minutes longer.
4. What can I serve with this chicken?
This dish pairs well with rice, quinoa, grilled veggies, or a fresh Mediterranean salad.
5. How do I store leftovers?
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave.
A Sprinkle of Fun: Sunset Grill Night!
Now that the days are getting longer, it’s the perfect excuse to take dinner outside! Fire up the grill, soak in the sunset, and enjoy this Lemon Garlic Grilled Chicken al fresco. There’s just something magical about warm breezes, the sizzle of the grill, and a plate full of fresh flavors.
Better yet, make it a full experience with these fun serving ideas:
Side: Pair it with a light strawberry feta salad or grilled asparagus with lemon zest. (Check out the eBook for an asparagus salad recipe!)
Drink: Sip on a refreshing white wine spritzer or a sparkling citrus mocktail.
Dessert: Keep it easy and fresh with grilled pineapple or honey-drizzled Greek yogurt with berries.
Set the patio table (or outdoor table), add twinkle lights, and put on a laid-back playlist. I guarantee, you’ll be doing this on repeat all season long.
