Food Court Pretzel Dogs

- 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
- 8 hot dogs
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons diced pickled jalapeños, drained
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 egg, beaten
- Coarse pretzel salt
For serving
- Warm nacho cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix together the cheddar cheese, jalapeños, and garlic powder.
- Roll the pizza dough into a large rectangle.
- Spread the cheese mixture in a thin, even layer across the surface of the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into 8 long strips.
- Place a hot dog at one end of each strip and wrap the dough around it at an angle, slightly overlapping as you go. Pinch the ends and seams closed.
- Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle generously with coarse pretzel salt.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until deep golden brown.
- Serve warm with nacho cheese for dipping.
