Ingredients

  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
  • 8 hot dogs
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons diced pickled jalapeños, drained
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Coarse pretzel salt

 

For serving

 

  • Warm nacho cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the cheddar cheese, jalapeños, and garlic powder.
  3. Roll the pizza dough into a large rectangle.
  4. Spread the cheese mixture in a thin, even layer across the surface of the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into 8 long strips.
  6. Place a hot dog at one end of each strip and wrap the dough around it at an angle, slightly overlapping as you go. Pinch the ends and seams closed.
  7. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle generously with coarse pretzel salt.
  9. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until deep golden brown.
  10. Serve warm with nacho cheese for dipping.
