Chicken Apple Sausage Puff Pastry

  • 2 packages of puff pastry shells
  • 1 package of Boars Head Honeycrisp Chicken Sausage OR another apple sausage brand
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped white onions
  • 1/4 c chicken broth
  • 1/2 c freshly shredded mozzarella


  1. On a rimmed baking sheet, bake the pastry shells according to the package instructions
  2. In a medium saute pan over medium high heat, add the oil and onion. Saute until translucent, about 8 minutes.
  3. Break up the sausage and crumble it into the pan. Saute for 5-8 minutes.
  4. Add the chicken broth and the mozzarella and simmer for about 2 minutes, stirring until the cheese is melty.
  5. Spoon the mixture into the shells and serve immediately.
