  • 23 ripe bananas (about 1 cup mashed)
  • 1/3 cup melted butter or neutral oil
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 12 Apple Pie Oreos, roughly chopped (plus extra for topping)
  • Coarse sugar, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until mostly smooth. Whisk in melted butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla.
  3. Stir in cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add flour and sour cream; mix just until combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped Apple Pie Oreos, saving a few for the top.
  6. Pour into the pan, smooth the top, and sprinkle with extra Oreos and coarse sugar.
  7. Bake 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
