Hey! I'm Taryn. Welcome to our blog. I cant wait to help you sprinkle a little fun into your kitchen.
Welcome!
This week was full of a lot of summer treats, Disney trips, and flavor experiments! I finished a few projects and desserts for Christmas is not Cancelled. Registration officially started, and you can find out more details here. It’s a wonderful organization that is providing backpacks full of school supplies to foster kids. There are virtual celebrity game nights, a bake-along, and surprises throughout the whole camp. Below is a recipe that I created for the magazine- Strawberry Crumb Cake!
I also got caught up on a few sprinkle projects. Below are tropical tarts with a matching sprinkle mix AND I created a few things with the cotton candy Oreos. Super excited!
Mid-week, we went to Epcot After Hours. We stopped by Wawa on the way and tried the new Caramel Cold Brew M&Ms. These were a 10/10 for me!
As for the event itself, I’d give that maybe 4/10. They close half of the park, so it feels more congested than it needs to be. There were some highlights…we got on Guardians of the Galaxy in 10 minutes and the Figment ride was completely empty. Unlimited popcorn and ice cream was also a plus. BUT they closed all of the other food options which was a bummer and there wasn’t a ton to do.
For Father’s Day, we headed back to Disney for golf! It’s so pretty there and super relaxing…but also very HOT. We only lasted about 3 holes before we went to get sodas and find the deli 😂
Lastly, I finished another book this week called “Mirror Girls.” It was a Barnes and Noble pick, so I figured I’d give it a try. I don’t usually go for this style of book aka ghost stories but I reallllly liked it. It held my interest all the way through.
