My favorite ice cream brand released two new flavors, and I LOVED them.
There are certain brands and products that stand out above the rest to me. McConnell’s is one of them. I’ve tried a few of their ice creams now and have not been disappointed.
They’ve all tasted like they’re from an ice cream parlor rather than the freezer section. (I’m still dreaming about their Strawberry Creams collab with See’s Candy.)

McConnell’s has been around since 1949, and I’m shocked that I’ve only recently tried this brand. They still make their ice cream in small batches using high-quality ingredients, and they take the extra step to make their mix-ins in-house. You can totally tell.

The first new flavor that I tried was Cinnamon Sticky Bun.
The cinnamon base tasted like the center of a fresh cinnamon roll. The spice was really well balanced.
Then you get that perfect caramel swirl. It was thick, buttery, and they didn’t skimp on the amount. The candied pecans were toasted, slightly sweet, and really evenly distributed.
This flavor blew me away, definite 10/10.

If you like rich chocolate ice cream, this one is definitely for you. The chocolate base was deep with a bold cocoa flavor that good chocolate ice cream should have. The toasted hazelnut add another dimension and really stood out.
Then you get to my favorite part which were the brownies. They were real, chewy, fudgy chunks, not small crumbs. They hold their texture inside the ice cream and leave you hunting through the whole pint for more.
I’m normally not a chocolate ice cream person, but this one was a solid 9/10.

Both Cinnamon Sticky Bun and Chocolate Hazelnut And Brownies were absolutely incredible. I would buy both again without hesitation.
If you come across one of their limited edition pints, or truly any McConnell’s ice cream, it’s worth grabbing.
