A lighter, faster alternative to traditional protein shakes
Pure Genius Protein completely flips what you expect from a protein drink.
Instead of the usual thick, creamy shake, these are small, fruity drinks with a smooth, slightly tart base. They’re like mini protein shots.
Most protein drinks always feel like a meal to me. These are small, compact, and easy to drink before a workout. I am obsessed with Peloton strength workouts and have one of these every day before I start a video.
I tried three flavors to see how they compare: Strawberry Guava, Pineapple, and Blueberry Lemonade. I’m also now an affiliate for Pure Genius, so I was especially curious to really pay attention to how they actually taste and fit into a normal day.

Pure Genius Protein was created by Mel Robbins and Giacomo Zacchia with a really simple goal.
Most protein drinks are large, heavy, and take time to get through. That alone makes them hard to stick with consistently.
So instead of making another shake, they created something smaller, lighter, and easier to finish.
These are designed to be quick. Not something you slowly sip, but something you grab, drink, and move on with your day. That concept is what makes them stand out more than anything else.

Strawberry Guava was the first one I tried, and it gives you a really good feel for the overall flavor profile.
It leans bright and slightly citrusy, with the strawberry in the background and the guava adding a light tropical note.
The strawberry isn’t overly sweet or artificial. It’s layered into that smooth, slightly tangy base.
I ended up mixing this with Strawberry Sparkling Ice, and that turned it into a really fun spritzer-style drink. It’s something I would absolutely do again, especially on a warm day.

The pineapple flavor was my favorite. It has that same bright, tangy base as the others, but the pineapple really stands out and gives it a strong tropical feel.
Pineapple naturally balances sweetness and acidity, and this one leans into that in a really good way. It tastes fresh, clean, and really refreshing.
This is actually the one that I reordered. It feels especially good before or after a workout or when you just want something cold and light that still has flavor.
Out of the three, this is the one I would recommend.

Blueberry Lemonade leans more into that classic fruit drink feel.
You get the blueberry first, followed by the brightness of the lemonade. The lemonade really keeps everything crisp and refreshing.
It’s a nice, balanced combo. Not too sweet, not too tart, and very easy to drink.
If you like berry flavors with a citrus edge, this one will probably be your favorite.
The size is what makes these stand out the most.
Traditional protein shakes can feel like a lot. They’re big, filling, and take time to finish, which isn’t always what I’m in the mood for.
These are small enough that you can drink them quickly and be done. That makes it much easier to actually stay consistent with getting more protein in.
For me, this solved a real issue. I’ve never loved finishing full protein shakes, and these completely removed that barrier.
They’re also lower in calories than a lot of traditional options, which makes them easy to add into your day without overthinking it.
If you’ve ever struggled with traditional protein shakes, Pure Genius Protein is worth trying.
The flavors are bright and fruit-forward, the texture is light, and the smaller size makes a huge difference in how easy they are to drink.
Strawberry Guava gives you a berry-tropical blend, Pineapple is refreshing and bold, and Blueberry Lemonade brings that mix of berry and citrus.
It’s a simple way to get protein in!
Try turning these into quick “protein refreshers” by mixing them with sparkling water or flavored sparkling drinks. It changes the texture slightly and makes it feel more like something you’d grab on a hot day instead of a typical protein drink.
