Hey! I'm Taryn. Welcome to our blog. I cant wait to sprinkle a little fun into your kitchen with you!
If there’s one holiday cookie that’s always a hit, it’s a snickerdoodle. These North Pole Snickerdoodle Blossoms take that soft, cinnamon-sugar favorite and dress it up with a festive holiday kiss in the center. They’re simple to make, cute on a cookie tray, and always disappear fast at parties, gift swaps, and Christmas movie nights.

Do I need to chill the dough?
No, chilling isn’t necessary. This dough is ready to scoop and roll right after mixing and still bakes up thick and soft.
How do I keep the kisses from melting or losing their shape?
Add the kisses immediately after baking while the cookies are warm, then let the cookies cool completely on the pan so the chocolate sets without softening or sliding.
Can I substitute baking powder for cream of tartar?
You can use 1 teaspoon baking powder in place of the cream of tartar and baking soda, but the flavor will be milder and less classic than true snickerdoodles.

How should I store snickerdoodle blossom cookies?
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. Layer parchment between cookies to protect the kisses.
Can I freeze these cookies?
Yes. Freeze baked cookies (without kisses) for up to 2 months. Thaw and add kisses after warming slightly, or freeze fully assembled cookies and thaw uncovered.
Can I make the dough ahead of time?
Yes. Wrap dough tightly and refrigerate for up to 2 days. Let soften slightly before rolling and baking.
Why did my cookies spread too much?
Butter that’s too soft or warm can cause extra spread. Chill the dough for 15–20 minutes if this happens.
Can I use regular chocolate kisses instead of snickerdoodle kisses?
Absolutely. Milk chocolate or caramel kisses work beautifully for a classic blossom variation.

Set a few North Pole Snickerdoodle Blossoms on a festive plate with a glass of milk and leave them out for Santa on Christmas Eve. Kids love picking their favorite cookie to save for the big guy, and the cinnamon sugar scent makes the whole house smell like holiday magic before bedtime.
