Hey! I'm Taryn. Welcome to our blog. I cant wait to sprinkle a little fun into your kitchen with you!
If you’ve ever been to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you know the Boo to You Parade is a must-see. It’s got all the Disney magic you’d expect, just with a spooky twist. This cake brings the same fun spirit- piled high with orange creamsicle frosting, and decked out with sprinkles, candy corn, and ghostly little toppers. Basically, it’s a Halloween float in sheet cake form- minus the parade crowd. Slice it up, and don’t be surprised if you catch yourself humming “Boo to You” after the first bite.
Can I use a different cake mix flavor?
Yes. Vanilla or white cake mix works well if you can’t find Halloween Funfetti. Just add 2–3 tablespoons of Halloween sprinkles to get that same festive look.
How do I get the perfect creamsicle flavor?
Use both vanilla and orange extracts in the frosting. The balance of the two gives that nostalgic orange creamsicle taste without being too strong.
Can I make this cake ahead of time?
Absolutely. Bake and cool the cake, then wrap tightly in plastic wrap and store overnight. Frost just before serving for the freshest flavor and texture.

Toppings
How do I make the frosting more orange?
Use gel food coloring instead of liquid. It gives a bold color without thinning the frosting.
What’s the best way to store leftover cake?
Cover tightly and refrigerate for up to 4 days. Bring to room temperature before serving for the softest texture.
Can I freeze the cake?
Yes. Freeze unfrosted cake layers for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before frosting and decorating.
Can I use unsalted butter?
Yes, but add a small pinch of salt to balance the sweetness of the frosting.
Do I have to use candy corn and ghosts?
Not at all. Swap in your favorite Halloween candies or themed sprinkles to make it your own.
