As expected, this week was REALLY food-focused. Everything from taste-testing to creating all kinds of content. To start…this just might be my favorite cake shot of all time. It was a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting and TONS of sprinkles.
Then, I made another cake for Christmas is not Cancelled. I host a bake-along for them twice a year and this is the first recipe. The photos for these were so exciting to do because they had a very nostalgic Christmas vibe. I called this one “Vintage Egg Nog” because of the shadows and cream tones.
I decided to take a break during the week and try something that I didn’t make myself. This is the
“Caramel Fudge Cheesecake Blizzard.” I did not like this one bit lol. It was extremely melty. When the girl tipped it over to show us it wouldn’t fall, she did it so fast and almost gave me a heart attack. It really didn’t taste like caramel or fudge, just melted cheesecake with chocolate chips.
I have committed to a HUGE project and I am actually super excited about it. Sprinkle Pop is releasing a Bingeworthy Fall collection and I am making a Party Table/Tablescape for each one. The mixes are all popular Fall and Halloween movies and tv shows that have a sequel or of course more than one episode. First up was Goosebumps, and I can’t wait for you to see it! Other mixes are based on Gilmore Girls, Addams Family, Scream, Sabrina, Teen Wolf, Twilight, and so many more.
Once again, my lunches are exciting to me but probably no one else 😂 This salad is a mix or romaine, croutons, Ina Garten’s Ranch Dressing (so amazingly good), and a crab cake.
We do themed months, and this year the overall theme is Around the World. August is Japan month so we made this dish, sort of like a fancy ramen. My daughter custom made my dessert- she opened a jello. Orange jello is pretty good to me, so I was not disappointed.
I shared this in my IG stories, but these are two of my favorites of the week. A Barbie Tumbler and the book Happy Place. Hayley stole the tumbler, and I finished the book. It’s an easy read, perfect for the end of summer and the writing is really witty.
That’s all for this week, but stay tuned for a review of Epcot’s Food and Wine, Part 1!
