The Base

I started with crushed Mother’s Frosted Animal Cookies because they’re nostalgic, colorful, and already coated in white chocolate. To balance that, I used melted milk chocolate as the base layer. The contrast worked perfectly—sweet, crunchy, and just the right amount of creamy.

Swirl & Sparkle

Next came the marshmallow melts. They added a swirl of white that gave the bark a little visual pop and paired well with the cookies. And then… the sparkle. I used Bakery Bling Glittery Sugar—which honestly lives up to its name. Bakery Bling sells all kinds of edible glitter, glitter sugars, and shimmer toppings that add so much sparkle to desserts. 

The Jellybean Moment

The finishing touch was jellybeans of course. I found Barbie-themed ones that were all shades of pink, and they were too perfect not to use. It was my first time trying them with chocolate and I’m officially converted—they add a sweet chewiness that totally works with the chocolate base.

• 1 bag (10 oz) Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Melting Wafers
• 1 bag (10 oz) Wilton Marshmallow-Flavored Candy Melts
• 1 cup lightly crushed Mother’s Frosted Animal Cookies
• Bakery Bling Pink Glittery Sugar 
• 1 package Barbie Jelly Beans (or any bright pink jellybeans)

Instructions

1. Line a 13×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
2. Melt the milk chocolate wafers in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth. It usually takes about 1 minute and 30 seconds.
3. Pour the melted chocolate into the dish and spread it into an even layer.
4. Melt the marshmallow melts the same way, then drizzle them over the chocolate. Use as much or as little as you like.
5. Grab a knife or skewer and gently swirl the two together for a marbled look.
6. Sprinkle the crushed cookies over the top, making sure they’re spread out evenly.
7. Add the glittery sugar for a little sparkle.
8. Press in the jelly beans and let the bark set at room temperature. If you want a faster result, pop it in the fridge for 15–20 minutes.
9. Once it’s firm, let it return to room temp, break it into pieces, and serve!
