Another late night at Disney, this time it’s for Moonlight Magic! We have the Disney Vacation Club and my sister got us tickets to this event. It started at 8pm, but you can get there as early as 6pm so we left the house at 5:45 to get there a little earlier and park.
The event was 3 hours, 8pm to 11pm. You have to register ahead of time and there’s limited capacity. BUT it was still packed lol. The After Hours events that we normally pay to go to have 1/10 of the amount of people. I took a peak at the attractions that would be open and I was most excited for these: Avatar Flight of Passage, Expedition Everest, and Na’vi River Journey. Went on none of them 😂
When you enter you get 3 snack coupons. A bunch of the locations are open and you can exchange them for the choices on the location’s event menu. PLUS you also get complimentary ice cream like Mickey Bars, Strawberry Pops, and Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches. The ice cream is always a plus, and I chose the Mickey Pop.
We tried a ton of snacks throughout the park- pretzels, floats, pot stickers, ice cream, sriracha fries, and more. I’ve gotta say, that was probably the highlight.
There are always characters walking around too, and the best part is that some of them are rare. We got to meet Terk, although Hayley was extremely upset she did not get a formal hug/handshake.
Below is a different sort of character. It would be my nightmare to put on stilts, paint my face, and dress up like a tree. But this girl was gorgeous and it was an extremely impressive costume.
Ducklings touring the park!
These were super cool too. At the front of the park they had all of these winter-themed puppets. The penguin was especially cute. I think the last animal might be a reindeer? Not sure.
Hayley and her cousin went on the water raft ride. I passed because I had on my fancy sneakers 💁♀️
Ended the night walking around the park and the lights were gorgeous. We stopped by the Avatar area which made my daughter look Photoshopped in the picture, lol. Then ended with a character dance party in Dinoland.
Anyone else ever attend a Moonlight Magic event?
