Slam Dunk Toffee Caramel Brookies

  • 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)
  • 1/2 cup crushed toffee bits (such as Heath)
  • 1/4 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1 package Pillsbury Ready to Bake! Shape™ Basketball Sugar Cookies
  • Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling
  • Chocolate sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature listed on your brownie mix box. Grease or line an 8- or 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal and spray it with baking spray
  2. Prepare the brownie batter according to the package directions.
  3. Fold in the crushed toffee bits.
  4. Pour the batter into your prepared dish and spread it evenly.
  5. Drizzle the salted caramel sauce over the top of the batter and gently swirl it in with a knife or toothpick.
  6. Press the Pillsbury Basketball Sugar Cookies gently into the batter in a 3 x 3 or 4×4 grid (or however they fit best for you—just make sure they’re spaced out a bit).
  7. Sprinkle the top with a pinch of sea salt and chocolate sprinkles if using.
  8. Bake according to the brownie mix instructions, keeping an eye on the center for doneness. A toothpick inserted should come out with a few moist crumbs, not wet batter.
  9. Cool completely before slicing into squares. Serve as is or with a scoop of ice cream.
