Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag white Ghirardelli melting wafers (plus a little extra for “gluing”)
  • Colour Mill oil-based food coloring – mix green and yellow for the Grinch heads, and use plain green for the cookies
  • Holiday Oreo cookies (use “Limited Edition Holiday Oreos” — the ones with red filling and festive designs)
  • Edible glitter spray
  • Heart sprinkles

Supplies

Instructions

  1. Melt the white chocolate according to package directions. Set aside about ¼ of it in a small bowl. Stir in a mix of green and yellow coloring until you reach that perfect Grinch shade. You’ll only need a small amount for the Grinch heads. Pour into the Grinch mold, tapping gently to release air bubbles, and refrigerate until set.
  2. Color the remaining melted chocolate green. Stir until smooth and streak-free. Spoon enough chocolate to fill each Oreo mold halfway, then press one Holiday Oreo into each cavity. Top with more chocolate until filled, tapping the mold to remove air bubbles. If a cookie floats up, gently press it back down. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes or until firm.
  3. Once set, remove the Grinch heads and chocolate-covered Oreos from their molds. Give the Oreos a light mist of edible glitter spray for a frosty shimmer.
  4. Melt a little extra white chocolate to use as glue. Attach one Grinch head to the top of each Oreo, then press on a single heart sprinkle—because his heart grew three sizes that day. Let them set completely before serving at room temperature.
