Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb cooked ground turkey or chicken
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 12 oz ziti, cooked al dente
  • 1 cup ricotta
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, stir together the marinara sauce and heavy cream until smooth and slightly lightened in color. This creates the creamy tomato base.
  2. Lightly coat the crockpot with cooking spray.
  3. Add the cooked ground turkey or chicken to the crockpot. Pour the creamy marinara mixture over the top.
  4. Add the ricotta, cream cheese, mozzarella, garlic powder, and salt. Stir gently until everything is evenly combined.
  5. Fold in the cooked ziti, making sure the pasta is fully coated in sauce.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 2–3 hours, until the cheese is melted and the mixture is hot and bubbly.
  7. For a slightly thicker, more cohesive texture, remove the lid during the last 20 minutes of cooking to allow the sauce to tighten.
  8. Let the ziti rest for 5–10 minutes before serving so it sets slightly and becomes perfectly scoopable.
