  • 1 can (8-count) Pillsbury Grands biscuits
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook until browned, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks.
  3. Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and stir for about 1 minute until the flour absorbs the fat.
  4. Slowly whisk in the milk a little at a time. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the gravy thickens and is smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cut each biscuit into 4 small pieces and scatter them evenly across the prepared baking dish.
  6. Pour the hot sausage gravy over the biscuits, spreading it evenly to coat every piece.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the top is golden and the center is set.
  8. Let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing into squares and serving warm.
