Chocolate Salted Toffee Frosting

  • 2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter, softened
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 46 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/3 cup crushed Heath bar pieces (or toffee bits)

Instructions

  1. In a stand mixer or using a hand mixer, beat the softened butter on medium speed until light and creamy.
  2. Gradually mix in half of the powdered sugar until combined.
  3. Add the remaining powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, salt, and 4 tablespoons of the heavy cream.
  4. Beat on medium-high speed for 2–3 minutes until the frosting is fluffy and smooth.
  5. Fold in the crushed Heath bar pieces.
  6. Adjust consistency as needed by adding more cream for a silkier texture or extra powdered sugar for a thicker finish.
