1 box of brownie mix (plus the ingredients listed on the box)
1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks (milk chocolate is my favorite, but semi-sweet or dark work too!)
Valentine’s Day sprinkles
1 bag Hershey’s Strawberries and Cream Hearts (or your favorite chocolate heart candies)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare an 8” square baking dish. Spray it with baking spray and line it with parchment paper so that it’s easier to remove from the dish.
Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions. Fold in the chocolate chips or chunks. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle as many Valentine’s sprinkles as you’d like.
Bake the brownies as directed on the box. Once out of the oven and still warm, evenly place the chocolate hearts on top, pressing them gently into the brownies.
Slice and serve while warm and the chocolate will be melty which really makes the brownies extra chocolatey. If you prefer a firmer bite, let them cool to room temperature and the chocolates will still be softer.
