1 can of refrigerated flaky layer biscuits cut into 4’s
2 apples sliced thin
½ cup salted butter, melted
½ c brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
½ tbsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ cup maple syrup
½ cup chopped pecans
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 13 x 9 baking dish with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract. Toss the apples to coat them evenly with the sugar and spices.
Open the can of biscuits and separate them. Cut each biscuit into quarters. Layer the biscuits at the bottom of the dish.
Pour the apple mixture over the biscuits, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the pecans and then drizzle the butter and maple syrup over the biscuits and apples.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and the apples are tender.
Allow the bake to cool slightly and then serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
